RANDY BARRONE
I am the Military Student Advocate in the Military Outreach Center on the Atlanta Campus. I am a veteran of the United States Army and served as an Airborne Military Policeman from 1988-1992. My grandfather and father-in-law served during World War II and I am the proud parent of two veterans. I earned an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice degree from Georgia Military College, a Bachelor of Science in Social Science degree from Mercer University, and a Master of Science in Leadership degree from Mercer University.
After my military service, I went on to serve as a law enforcement officer from 1992-2017. My career of service to others has been overwhelmingly rewarding and I can think of no greater honor than to serve those who served.
I am excited to be on the Military Outreach Center team and help military-connected students get all the benefits and resources they deserve. As a Military Student Advocate, I get to do more than just thank a Vet; I get to serve military-connected students with the excellence they deserve. The Military Outreach Center is here to provide the support and services veterans, service members and their families need as they pursue their academic goals. Thank you for your sacrifice and service to our nation!

I serve as the Director of Military Outreach at Georgia State University and Perimeter College at Georgia State. I am a veteran of the United States Army and was a Soldier from 1990-2012. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Liberty University and my MBA from Touro University International.
Upon my retirement from the military, I moved into my current role in Military Outreach at Georgia Perimeter College, now Perimeter College at Georgia State University. With the consolidation of GPC and Georgia State, I am excited about the great opportunities for growth and expansion of services by the MOC on all six Georgia State campuses.
I often tell people that I have the best job in the world, serving fellow veterans, military, and their family members. I mean that! Each day, it is my goal and that of the entire Military Outreach department to work together to provide excellent customer service to our students, faculty and staff. I am here to do all I can to help students earn their degree and to help make the journey both enjoyable and rewarding. There will be times when all students need assistance and support, and it is our pleasure to do all we can to provide what our great veterans deserve and need to succeed. The MOC is proud to Serve Those Who Have Served!
