I am the Military Student Advocate in the Military Outreach Center on the Dunwoody Campus. I am a veteran of the United States Army, serving on active duty from 2004-2008 and the Army Reserve from 2008-present. I earned my Associate degree in Biology from Georgia Perimeter College and I am currently working on a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience with a Biology minor and pre-medicine concentration at Georgia State University’s downtown campus. I am also enrolled in the University of Maryland, working towards a second Bachelors in Psychology with a Biology minor.
Prior to my arrival at Perimeter College/Georgia State University, I was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). My journey started with the MOC as a Military Student Advocate and VA Work-Study student at Georgia Perimeter College’s Clarkston campus.
I am both honored and extremely excited to serve fellow student veterans and their family members achieve their dream of becoming a college graduate. It is so great to serve our veteran population and their family, both in and outside of the uniform, which I still proudly wear, as they pursue a degree and write the next chapter of their life. As a member of the Military Outreach team, my mission is to provide the service member and their family with the smoothest transition possible from military life to the life of a Georgia State college student and eventual graduate.
