Our Military Outreach Centers are designed to guide you through the application, enrollment and graduation processes, making your transition to Georgia State easy and enjoyable. By connecting you with resources on- and off-campus and providing you with the most current information about your status as a military student, we’ll provide a complete framework for your success.

Whether you’re starting your first college experience, already enrolled at another university or going back to school, we’ll walk you through the process. Review the descriptions below to prepare for your educational journey.
Rolling Admissions
*Note: There is a November 15 deadline for priority consideration for the Honors College and scholarships.
Conditional Acceptance
*Note: Conditional acceptance is a real admissions decision. It means a school believes in you and sees your potential.
Transient
You are enrolled at another college or university but would like to take a few classes elsewhere for credit toward your degree at your home institution.
Non-Traditional
You haven’t been in school in a while and would like to return. It’s been more than five years since you attended high school or completed your last college courses without earning a degree.
Postbaccalaureate
You have already earned a bachelor’s degree but are interested in taking more classes without seeking a degree.
Transfer
You’re enrolled at another college or university but are looking to change schools. You have already completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework.
High School
You entered the National Guard or Reserves right out of high school. You’ve never been enrolled in a college or university, with the exception of dual enrollment through your high school. You’ve completed fewer than 30 credit hours of college coursework at any institution.
Transient
You are enrolled at another college or university but would like to take a few classes elsewhere for credit toward your degree at your home institution.

Apply for Your Military Benefits
To use your educational benefits, you must first submit an online application to the Department of Veterans Affairs. If you are a prospective student and wish to apply to Georgia State University, visit our Undergraduate Admissions or Graduate Admissions offices. Allow plenty of time to complete the process. It can take up to five to six weeks to complete the process depending on the benefits and financial aid for which are you are applying. Check out the following:

Apply for Other Financial Assistance
Did you know that Georgia State University waives all mandatory fees for reservists, National Guard and active-duty servicemembers? Just complete the Military Service Verification Form confirming your military service and return it to the Military Outreach Center on your campus.
Current servicemembers are eligible for the same Financial Aid resources as all Georgia State students. Visit Student Financial Services to learn more about the financial support we offer.
