Lisa Boyd is Georgia State University’s Military Outreach Director, and she has been working in higher education since 2007. She has been with Georgia State University since 2013, bringing with her a background in VA education benefits, first-year studies and customer service management. The Military Outreach Center (MOC) provides reservists, National Guard, active-duty service members, veterans and their dependents with the support and services they need to reach their academic goals. Located on each GSU campus, the MOC promotes and collaborates with community-based veteran and military-affiliated organizations, fostering partnerships that benefit student veterans academically and professionally. The VA School Certifying Officials process and submit VA education claims to the VA on behalf of military-connected students.
